ABSTRACT: This research explored the role of early childhood education in fostering intercultural communication among young children. Objectives included assessing intercultural communication skills, identifying effective educational practices, and evaluating the long-term benefits of early intercultural education. A survey design was employed due to its efficiency in gathering detailed data from diverse respondents. Purposive sampling was used to select 220 children from preschools in Abuja, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children who received intercultural communication education demonstrated better communication skills with peers from different cultural backgrounds, with activities like cultural dialogue sessions, role-playing diverse cultural scenarios, and inclusive group projects being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating intercultural communication education into early childhood programs to foster effective communication skills from an early age.
